Pentecost is a Christian festival that celebrates the gift of the Holy Spirit. The festival is generally full of good spirits. Ministers will wear red robes as a symbol of the flames in which the Holy Spirit came to Earth. Symbolism is very important to this day. As a part of the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), the Holy Spirit is an important entity used by Christians as a way to interpret God.

Pentecost takes place on the Sunday 50 days after Easter. It is not widely celebrated as a religious day, but it is observed as a secular public holiday. This means workers in many industries have the day off.
