Good Friday commemorates the day that Jesus was crucified. Following Jesus' arrest, he was found guilty of proclaiming himself to be the King of Jews. He was sentenced to crucifixion. Depictions of the last 12 acts of Jesus' life are placed in the church or are sometimes permanently stationed outside on the church grounds.
