On 31 October 1517, Martin Luther posted his 95 theses on the Wittenberg Castle Church door denouncing the olden ways of the church. This move led to church reformation in Europe and Protestant reformation. German Reformation Day is celebrated annually on 31 October in memory of Europe's religious reformation.
